I have always loved and owned beautiful cars. Like most men and many women, I appreciate and enjoy all aspects of reading about, watching videos and TV shows, great driving movie scenes, owning and driving great automotive machinery. So I thought I would tell you about my current favorite car – my 2012 bmw x5. It is a 2003 3.0i straight six petrol model.
It has about 40,000kms on the clock, which is very low for this year model. It is pristine white in colour, with black leather interior. Extras include dark tinted windows, aluminum side-steps, parking sensors front and back, headrest DVD players with wireless headphones and remote control, Ming paint protection and leather protection. The car is in ‘as new’ condition and looks and drives as such.

The Ford brand is the most popular automotive brand in the United States, regularly beating Chevrolet and Toyota for top honors. The Ford Motor Company has worked diligently to bolster its namesake brand and has done so by offering numerous models for consumer consideration.
There are too many Ford models to mention here, but we’ve selected five which are fabulous and should be considered if you are looking for a new car or a low mileage used vehicle.
1. Ford F-150 – No Ford list can be written without mentioning the full size Ford F-150 pickup truck. Introduced in 1948, the F-Series is the best selling pickup truck line in America, powered by V-6 and V-8 gas engines paired with six-speed automatic transmissions. The Fusion has consistently proven to be a good value, offering better residual value than even the segment leading Toyota Camry. A hybrid model joined the line in 2010, offering 41 mpg city, 36 mpg highway, tops in its class.
3. Ford Edge - The market for midsize crossover models is very competitive, with most every manufacturer offering at least one model. The Ford Edge was restyled in 2011 and now offers improved fuel economy, better handling, numerous technology features including SYNC, Bluetooth and an advanced audio system and leather seating options. This crossover offers plenty of storage room and is suitable for light towing.
4. Ford Focus – New for 2012, the compact Focus sold in North America now matches what Europeans have long enjoyed. This car is roomy, sporty and offers class leading fuel economy, achieving 40 mpg with its most fuel efficient model. The Focus is a tuner favorite too, allowing owners to customize their rides with sport fascia, performance exhaust systems and a host of other features. 5. Ford Fiesta - The smallest Ford model is the Ford Fiesta, a subcompact car retailing for under $14,000. The Civic hybrid was introduced to the U.S. in February 2002 as a 2003 model, based on the seventh generation Civic. Along with the conventional Civic, it received styling update for 2004. The second generation Civic Hybrid is based on the eighth generation Civic, with some styling differences between theUSDM and JDM models. As of the end of January 2009, the total global sales of all Civic hybrid exceeded 255,00.

The Honda Civic is a line of subcompact and subsequently compact cars developed and manufactured by Honda. In North America, the Civic is the second-longest continuously-running nameplate from a Japanese manufacturer; only the Toyota Corolla, introduced in 1968, has been in production longer. The Civic, along with the Accord and Prelude, comprised Honda’s vehicles sold in North America until the 1990s, when the model lineup was expanded. Although several compacts have more comfort or utility, few cars have captured the media attention for all-around excellence like the 2010 Honda Civic. The Civic isn’t flawless. The basic Civic comes in both sedan and coupe models and comes in several trims (DX, DX-VP, LX, LX-S, EX and EX-L) which range in price from approximately $15,500 to around $22,000. The Civic SI is performance-oriented trim, which offers 57 more horsepower than the base model, a few more performance options and a starting price of around $6,500 more. The Civic Hybrid has a separate review. The GX is an eco friendly alternative to the Hybrid and runs on Compressed Natural Gas, but it’s only sold in California (and other states that have accepted California’s Zero-Emission Vehicle regulations) and it starts at about $10,000 more than a base Civic.

The Honda Civic is essentially unchanged for 2010, so savvy car buyers may want to consider purchasing a 2009 model. Dealers are under pressure to make room on their lots for the new 2010 models so you may be able to snag a deal on a 2009. Be sure to check for current Honda deals that may be available on a Civic.

Given its muddied history, we'll forgive you for brushing off Dodge's latest batch of R/T models. Although the R/T badge once signified a vehicle designed to tease, excite, and appease the enthusiast, in recent years, the nameplate was haphazardly applied to almost every Dodge, many of which drove no better than their conventional cousins.

The R/T range has been renewed and expanded for 2011, but its original purpose is on the way to being restored. Dodge brand CEO Ralph Gilles has promised all future R/T models will offer a "higher level of dynamic capability" -- and that appears to hold true for the 2012 Avenger R/T, which debuts this week at the 2011 New York auto show.

As is the case with other current models in the R/T portfolio (now including the Charger, Grand Caravan, Durango, and Journey), the new sport-tuned Avenger doesn't receive any wild bump underhood. In fact, it continues to make use of the same 3.6-liter, 283-horsepower Pentastar V-6 found in lesser Avengers, matched up to a six-speed automatic transmission.

In other words, it's not exactly a configuration that's going to raise eyebrows, quicken pulses, and set Internet discussion boards afire. But wait: In the immortal words of Ron Popeil, there's more.

The secret, or so we're told, lies entirely with chassis tuning. Lo, engineers have had their way with the Avenger's suspension bits in an attempt to liven up a front-drive platform long regarded as more milquetoast than magnificent. The Dodge crew says stiffness is increased by 18 percent, while front and rear spring rates are upped by 17 and 12 percent, respectively.

Subaru executives readily admit that their "anywhere, any time" all-wheel-drive rides aren't always the prettiest. Nevertheless, the little automaker from Tokyo, Japan, has been on a tear.
In 2010, it posted its best-ever sales figures in the United States, an increase of 22 percent over 2009 for a total of 263,820 vehicles. In the last three years, as the rest of the auto industry struggled with double-digit sales declines, Subaru was the only automaker that posted consecutive sales increases.
The key to this windfall? Subaru says that it's attractive pricing and ideal vehicle sizing. So it makes sense that the company opted to stay the course on price and size for the fourth-generation Impreza, but to focus on improving two other vital characteristics of its best-seller.
"With the 2012 Impreza, we're heavy up on style, and we're heavy up on fuel efficiency. That's where we go next," says Michael McHale, Subaru's head of corporate communications.
At the 2010 Los Angeles auto show, Subaru demonstrated its emphasis on style with the Impreza Concept. Like the Legacy Concept shown in 2009, the Impreza prototype demonstrated an athletic physique characterized by an aggressive nose and aerodynamic rear. Its profile was slim with a steeply raked windshield.
Many of the show car's design elements were translated into the striking 2012 Impreza. The hexagonal grille has wings flanking a prominent badge. The wide-set, hawkeye headlamps rotate and set off a strong shoulderline and creased hood, both cribbed from big brother Legacy.
The base of the A-pillar has been relocated 7.9 inches forward for a longer, more rakish greenhouse. With the goal of providing class-leading visibility, Subaru thinned the A-pillars and detached the side mirrors from their bases. Windowsills were kept low, with partitioned glass at all the side windows.
The look is much improved over the flaccid previous generation. The 2012 Impreza has a muscular, Baby Legacy thing going on, especially the five-door hatch when viewed from behind. Chunky taillamps and a chiseled rear fascia butch up the gentle fender flares.

The Nissan Leaf Nismo RC is 3.9-inches shorter, 0.8-inches longer, 6.7-inches wider and a staggering 13.8-inches lower than the garden-variety 2011 Nissan Leaf. At 2.4-inches, its ground clearance is just high enough to pass over a New York-sized cockroach. And in case you're wondering, "RC" doesn't stand for "remote control" -- at least not in this application. Nissan designed this track-attacking EV with "Racing Competition" abilities, much like it did with the recent R35 GT-R RC
Underneath the Leaf RC's carbon fiber body resides a monocoque set inside a custom chassis built by Nismo, Nissan's in-house performance division, in conjunction with Nissan's Global Design Center. For ideal weight distribution, Leaf RC's 80 kW AC synchronous motor, lithium ion batteries, and inverter are mounted mid-ship.
Forged aluminum 18-inch wheels wrapped in Bridgestone slicks attach to front and rear control-arm suspension. Rear-wheel drive replaces the production Leaf's front-wheel drive layout. There is even an adjustable rear wing for optimum aerodynamic setup on a variety of tracks. Weighing just 2068 pounds, the RC is 40-percent lighter than the road-going Leaf.
The powertrain remains the same, however, producing 102 horsepower and 207 pound-feet of torque. Nissan says the Leaf RC can hit 60 mph in 6.85 seconds and a top speed of 93 mph. Of course, going full bore has its limits: in racing situations, the RC lasts a maximum of 20 minutes.
In being a legit track monster, there are no rear passenger doors or seats, nor is there a stereo, climate control, carpet, or any other creature comfort. Instead, a racing bucket, slim steering wheel, roll cage, and fixed Lexan windows make their way inside the Leaf RC. Its LED head and taillights have been designed to provide ample lighting during nighttime events if necessary.
That's right, we said "events." Rumors are suggesting Nissan's executives are pushing to race the RC in a yet-to-be-established eco-friendly motorsport series. The "Who, What, Where" will be answered soon.

It's no secret that the world's automakers are rushing to make their cars more fuel-efficient, and hybrid drivetrains are one of the most proven methods to cut consumption. Suzuki's first hybrid car will be previewed at New York auto show as the EcoCharge concept, based on the company's Kizashi sedan.
The transformation to gas-sipping hybrid begins with a new 2.0-liter inline-four engine, rated for 144 horsepower and 127 pound-feet of torque, ousting the standard Kizashi's 185-horsepower 2.4-liter engine. To compensate for the reduction in raw output -- and to help save at the pump -- the engine is supplemented by a 15-kilowatt electric motor. It's a combination motor/generator attached to the engine via an accessory belt. A 0.5-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery stores electricity during braking, and juices the electric motor to aid acceleration.
To further improve economy, the EcoCharge has engine stop-start functionality, low-rolling-resistance tires, and the engine computer cuts the fuel flow when the car is decelerating. Suzuki aims for a 25-percent improvement over the regular Kizashi's highway fuel economy. The thriftiest current model, the front-wheel-drive Kizashi S, returns 31 mpg highway, meaning the EcoCharge could be rated as high as 38 mpg.
The powertrain is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, a choice unavailable in the standard Kizashi. In spite of the eco-friendly modifications, Suzuki claims the EcoCharge retains the sporty handling and braking we've come to love in the standard Kizashi, while the electric motor's boost is said to offer "spirited" acceleration.
The EcoCharge stands apart from its non-hybrid forebear with blue-tinged white satin paint, lightweight aluminum wheels, unique headlights, and LED foglights. The seats are constructed from undisclosed "advanced" materials, but as Suzuki claims they require 84 percent less energy than traditional seating surfaces, we'd hazard a guess that they use some sort of recycled material.
There's no word on whether the EcoCharge will make it to production, but it seems like a solid bet given the rising popularity of hybrid cars. If the hybrid does indeed retain the base car's engaging dynamics, we'd welcome a handful more miles per gallon in a Kizashi. As to the car's potential competition, Buick recently introduced a similar belt-driven hybrid system called eAssist, which boosts a four-cylinder engine's fuel economy by 25 percent. eAssist launches this fall on the Buick Regal.

The Suzuki Kizashi isn't the most popular small sedan on the market, and that's too bad. We love the car's sharp design, comfortable interior, and enthusiast driving experience. The only letdown is its straight-line performance. The standard 2.4-liter inline-four engine offers just 185 horsepower (180 with continuously variable transmissions) and 170 pound-feet of torque, which yields adequate but hardly thrilling acceleration. Suzuki's Apex concept aims to rectify the power deficiency by turbocharging the Kizashi to produce up to 300 horsepower.
We're big fans of the Suzuki Kizashi, admiring its smart styling, practicality, and engaging handling dynamics. The one area we'd address is acceleration, which is competent but hardly awe-inspiring, thanks to a 2.4-liter inline-four offering 185 horsepower (180 with continuously variable transmissions) and 170 pound-feet of torque. Suzuki will cater to our speed-freak side with a turbocharged Kizashi capable of up to 300 horsepower, debuting at the New York auto show.
This isn't the first time that Suzuki has given in to the need for speed, having previously contracted Road Race Motorsport to build a 290-horsepower Kizashi Turbo for last year's Specialty Equipment Market Association show. Back in the waning years of the previous millennium, the Toyota Prius was born, becoming the first Toyota hybrid. Since then, of course, many other Toyota and Lexus hybrids have hit the roads, as have many from nearly every other automaker. But it’s the Prius—thanks to distinct (if unsexy) styling and industry-leading fuel economy—that remains the unofficial greenmobile for Toyota and the world.
Naturally, then, the Prius is set to become the first Toyota to make the next big leap in fuel efficiency for 2012 by going plug-in with the new Prius PHV, or “plug-in hybrid vehicle.” And since 2012 is a long way off—in our impatient minds, at least—we jumped at the chance to drive one of the 150 powder-blue preproduction Prius PHVs bound for the U.S. in 2010. All are part of Toyota’s Prius PHV pilot program that places these vehicles with various utilities and government agencies to gather data on vehicle performance.
So how exactly does it differ? Other than silver paint on the mirrors, door handles, and tailgate, the blue-and-white “PLUG-IN HYBRID” lower door decals, and a cutout in the left front fender that houses the plug, there are no visible distinctions between the regular Prius and the PHV. Ditto the interior, where a few PHV-specific info displays and a slightly raised cargo floor for the PHV’s larger battery pack represent the only notable changes.
The Prius PHV doesn’t differ much from the regular Prius from a dynamic standpoint, either. No surprise, really. The Prius PHV is essentially just a Prius whose nickel-metal hydride battery pack has been swapped for a far pricier, far heavier, and far more potent lithium-ion pack. (How potent is unclear, as Toyota won’t tell us how much it improves on the regular car’s 1.3-kWh capacity.) The new batteries can be fully charged in three hours from a simple household 110-volt outlet or an hour and a half from a 220-volt plug. The battery swap allows for more miles on electricity alone and a commensurate boost in real-world fuel economy.
And so the parallel-hybrid powertrain design, the squishy suspension setup, and the puny 15-inch wheels remain, giving the PHV the same lackluster driving characteristics as its non-plug-in sibling. That includes the way-overboosted electric power steering and a brake pedal that has yet to deliver anything close to accuracy.
Going Farther, Faster on Electrons
The most palpable difference between the standard and PHV Priuses, then, is how a judicious right foot can direct the PHV to achieve and maintain speeds of up to 62 mph using electricity alone. Like a regular Prius, though, the PHV will fire up its internal-combustion engine if you’re not careful. The PHV’s threshold is slightly higher than the regular car’s, but anything more than genteel pressure on the go pedal—say, as might be required to enter the freeway or accelerate up a slight hill—and the 98-hp, 1.8-liter four-cylinder stirs with a decidedly unsexy moan.
Keep your driving grandmotherly, though, and a Prius PHV with a full charge can travel up to 13 miles in electric mode, which becomes considerably more novel the faster one travels. Once the battery pack is depleted, the car reverts to the conventional hybrid function of the standard Prius.
Even under full throttle, the PHV remains far from quick, with a 0-to-60-mph time of 11.3 seconds, according to Toyota, versus 9.8 seconds for the non-PHV model. Blame the heavier battery pack and its ancillary hardware—which add about 330 pounds—for the more sluggish time. But then, the Prius never has been and never will be about driving delight, but rather is about maximum fuel economy. At the end of the day, the PHV proof was not in the proverbial pudding but rather neatly displayed on the dashboard. Over a short city-and-highway loop, we were powered solely by electricity about 39 percent of the time, and we averaged 56 mpg, according to the in-car readout.
Two things are worth noting here: First, in-car fuel-economy readouts are notoriously optimistic. Second, the route was heavy on hills and included several miles of freeway driving, during which we frequently exceeded 80 mph. So although that 56-mpg figure might not be entirely accurate, even with a 10-percent margin of error, we recorded impressive economy for our usage. After our stint, our driving partner took the helm for a city route and spent nearly two-thirds of the time on the electron feed, bringing overall fuel economy up to 68 mpg for the trip, an increase of more than 50 percent over the last test figure we saw in a Prius.
Plug-In Prius Won’t Be a Match for Every Environmentalist
So what’s the holdup? Bring it on, right? First, Toyota is dotting its i’s and crossing its t’s before offering the technology to customers. Toyota is using this limited PHV program to gather real-world data to see if a 13-mile electric-vehicle range is sufficient to satisfy customers or if perhaps it needs to look into more- or less-potent battery packs. Toyota is also buying time to bring the price of the Prius PHV closer to what it considers the hybrid “sweet spot” of $15,000 to $27,000, which, at this point, it surely exceeds on account of that high-tech battery.
Once such targets are met and the final product is introduced sometime next year, what will become of the standard Prius? All signs indicate that it will soldier on and keep its nickel-metal batteries for a long time. Toyota reps tell us, “In conventional hybrid vehicles, Toyota will continue to use nickel-metal hydride batteries in the near term. The technology has proved its value over 12 years of mass production and is extremely reliable.”
Furthermore, Toyota says, the viability of plug-in technology can depend on an individual customer’s geographic location, drive cycle, and access to charging facilities. We would add income to that as well, since the Prius PHV will command a sizable premium over a comparably equipped standard Prius, although if Toyota hits its price target, it won’t cost as much as the Chevrolet Volt. Assuming costs go down, Toyota says lithium-ion batteries could be considered in the future for the many other hybrids found throughout the Toyota and Lexus lineups. Still, we consider this just another rest stop on the way to bigger and better technologies.

The cute-as-a-button design from the hard-top 500 is carried over, swapping out the roof panel for an electrically folding soft top. The new roof is not a traditional convertible, though -- the A-, B-, and C-pillars remain intact along with the roof rails. What that means is that even with the top lowered, passengers will not get a full open-air experience; a good or a bad thing depending on how much you value your hairdo.
The roof is inspired by the canvas roof that was available when the original Fiat Cinquecento premiered in 1957. While the old car's roof only rolled back to the end of the roof panel and was powered by elbow grease, the 2012 500c's top is electrically actuated and can fold all the way back to rest behind the rear headrests. Driver's can drop the top to its fully open position at up to 50 mph, or fold the roof back to the integrated spoiler to create an open sunroof at up to 60 mph. Opening the rear trunk will cause the roof to lift up, allowing unobstructed access to the diminutive, 5.4-cubic-foot luggage compartment.
The look of the 500c is almost identical to that of the hatchback; however, Fiat has extended the windshield to help reduce wind buffeting with the top down and to give rear passengers better forward visibility with the top up. Latest news came out about the cars of Honda that has to be recalled. It was the problem of the ignition switch interlock mechanism. The company decided to recall the cars of about 197,000 accord model and the 117,000 of Honda civic model of 2003 as well as 69,000 cars model for year 2003 and 2004. Honda recently received complaints regarding the interlock mechanism. This could be a problem in the future when parking your car on hilly side or your on a high slope.
